When The Lord shall raise up Zion

The Master said,“And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will buildMy church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it......Matthew16:18KJV”
Why hasn’t Jesus returned yet? He is not waiting for you to marry before Hecomes, He is not waiting for you to build the twenty houses before He descends,He is not waiting for you to find a job, He is not waiting for you to give birth tomore children before He comes and He is not waiting for you to complete theuniversity. The day He returns, there will be people who will still not be married,there will be uncompleted housing projects, the day He returns there will be peoplestill looking for jobs and there will be others still in the university.Why hasn’t the Lord returned? He is still building up Zion. He is building Hisassembly, He is building the church, He is winning and calling sinners from theworld into His church. This is what has delayed His coming. The day the greattribulation will have been over, this work too would have been completed
 
Scripture says,“When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory”This is why every Christian is on this earth. He didn’t leave us here because ofmarriage, not because of school and neither because of jobs nor accumulation ofwealth. These are good but that is not why He left you in this world. He didn’tleave you in this world so you get the opportunity to wake up every morning andgo to work.
These are rather channels granted you by Him to fulfill the ultimate purpose forwhich He left you in this world.He left us here to help Him build Zion. He left us here so to preach the Gospel tothe world. He didn’t leave the Christians in this world so to meet at churchbuildings. Those are good but they are to build the individual Christians to helpfulfill the purpose of winning the world. You were not left here to have Christianfellowship. If it were that, He would have come a long time ago. The Church isHis body through which He wants to win the sinner, to build up Zion.Paul says,“ To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, notimputing their trespasses unto them, and hath committed unto us the Word ofreconciliation.....2 Corinthians 5:19KJV”You are here because of the ministry of reconciliation. You are here because you area minister sent to the world. This applies to every Christian. The day Jesus returns,He is not going to ask you about your job, the billions in the bank, He is not goingto ask you about the cars or the number of houses you could build, neither is Hegoing to ask you about the certificate and degrees you attained. He is going to askyou about the work He gave you as a minister of reconciliation. Many have notbeen taught to understand the purpose of their being on earth. It’s sad.Beloved, know why you are here, be focus and do the work. For all what you see inthis world, the skyscrapers and mansions will all one day very soon be consumedand destroyed.God bless you!

Why they are led astray?Hebrews 8:11 KJVNo longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another,‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the leastof them to the greatest 
Why are Christians led astray? In most parts, it is due to the lack of understandingof what pertains the new covenant. Why the new covenant? Many really have notbeen taught to understand the reason why God wanted a new covenant.For instance if you were to ask many why a new covenant? They will say, it was forthe sins of man to be taken care of. This is true for the Master said,“For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for theremission of sins......Matthew 26:28 KJV” but more importantly is the Christianbeen made to understand the greater purpose in all of this.There was a greater purpose but that could only be fulfilled after Him dying foryou.Why then the new covenant?God was tired of ceremonial religion. Actually, He was never interested inceremonial observances from the get go but had to bear with it because He wasdealing with men with a corrupted nature. He knew that, He understood that soHe had to bear with that in the days of old so as to bring His eternal dream to pass.You the Christian is that dream. You are supposed to be that dream.Please understand this, no matter how much the veterinary doctor learns about adog, no matter the volume of knowledge he acquires on a dog, he or she can neverknow the dog the way the dog know itself. Why? Because he or she is not and cannever be a dog. He can learn by observation, by study and try to even get into themind and emotions of the animal but can never know the dog as the dog knowitself.
This is how far religion could take a man, this is how far it could take the Rabbi’sof old but God was looking for a generation of creatures who could know Him asHe know Himself. This is the nucleus of Christianity. This is what is all about.Like in the dog case, God knew that this could only be achieved by giving man theGod life; this could only be achieved by man partaking of the divine nature so theMaster said“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, andJesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.... John 17:3 KJV”This is what eternal life is all about, its knowing God. It’s not a mental Knowing.It’s knowledge of communion, knowledge based on fellowship.The problem of many Christians is that they think we are still in the OldTestament and want others to know God for them. They want their ministers toknow God for them and hence some have become zombies going with everythingtaught from the Pulpit. Why? Because it sounds nice, it’s appealing. It sounds likewhat God will say. The question is, did He say so?Every Christian has eternal life and that gives you the capacity to know andunderstand spiritual mysteries. It’s for every Christian. Am I down playing theimportance of Men of God? Never, for I myself am a man of God. Men of Godhave a very important and vital role in this. Depending on the Grace of the office aman or woman of God holds, He may unveil mysteries, train or teach you butwhen it comes to understanding mysteries, it is for every Christian.This is why when any mystery is unveiled to you, you have to compare withscriptures yourself to access its validity because you now have what it takes tounderstand mysteries and it’s for every Christian. The only thing is that, the abilityto understand grows as you grow spiritually.You can’t hold God accountable now that you have received His life. The problemreally is that many Christians are busy with this world. They love the things in thisworld more than their eternal destinies and this spiritual laziness leads them intogulping anything appealing to their senses. Christians ought to be like the brethrenat Berea. The Bible says,“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received theword with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whetherthose things were so......Acts 17:11KJV”

Why you ought not be sick?1 Corinthians 6:15 CEVDon't you know that your bodies are part of the body of Christ?Is it right for me to join part of the body of Christ to a prostitute?No, it isn't!
Why did Paul shake off the viper after been bitten and went off as if nothinghappened? The traditional Christian will say, because he was an Apostle. Wronganswer! Paul did that because he understood who the Christian is. He understoodthe mystery of Christianity.
“And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire,there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. And he shook offthe beast into the fire, and felt no harm. Howbeit they looked when he shouldhave swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a greatwhile, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said thathe was a god....Acts 28:3,5,6 KJV”Do you mean that this can be and should be the experience of every Christian Ifhis mind is completely renewed to the same knowledge that Paul had about theChristian? An emphatically big “Yes”. What understanding did Paul have of theChristian?When one becomes a Christian, not only is his spirit but the body too is dippedinto Christ. In our introductory scripture, Paul says, “Your bodies are part of thebody of Christ”. Your physical body too has become a member of Christ. This iswhy joining that body with a prostitute is unacceptable, this is why fornication is a“No go area”
Since sickness is not permitted in the body of Christ, there shouldn’t be anysickness in your physical body because your body is now a part of the body ofChrist.Like any other blessing, this is not going to happen automatically but by faith. It’sthose Christians who have been taught this mystery, have had their minds renewed
and live in the consciousness of this important truth. Many Christians die fromsickness because their minds are not completely renewed to this vital truth. Hence,they don’t resist sickness in the faith. They rather accept it to be a normal part oftheir life.
A thousand times “NO”. Don’t you understand that Christ is now your life?In Christianity, you enjoying your “God-given blessings” in Christ is up to youand not God. This is what many have not been made to understand. Its up to you.First and foremost, you have to be brought into that knowledge following whichyou ought to stand in that knowledge no matter what you see or hear.Like the Master said, the violent taketh it by force. You ought to be a soldier.Crying wont change anything. The quality of life you will live as a Christian isbased on the Knowledge you have. In Isaiah’s prophetic utterance concerning theChurch, it reads“And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength ofsalvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.... Isaiah 33:6KJV”The strength of your salvation is based on the knowledge you have. Whether youwill be saved from sickness, dangers and problems, it is based on your knowledge inthe mystery of Christ.Paul had the right knowledge. He knew that he had eternal life and henceshouldn’t be hurt by any deadly thing. This should be your consciousness as aChristian. This is how you put on Christ. As long as you are in fear and believethat deadly things can harm you, you still have the old man on but you are told toput off the old man and put on Christ.“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and toovercome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you....Luke 10:19NIV”

Worship In Spirit

Jesus said,“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship theFather in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.... John4:23 KJV”We learnt yesterday that worship is deeper than singing, its everything that has todo with your Christian living. The Apostle Paul understood this all-importanttruth, the truth about what the gospel demands. The Gospel is premise on worshipin the spirit. What does that mean?Contrary to what has been taught in many Christian circles, true Christianity iscentered on the indwelling of Christ in the believer through the Holy Spirit. WhatPaul terms as the Spirit of Christ. He says“You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of theSpirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have theSpirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ......Romans 8:9KJV”Any person who doesn’t have the Spirit of God (Christ) dwelling in Him is not aChristian. This is the great mystery Paul talked about. Christianity is that greatmystery and that mystery is Christ in you, Christ resident in the believer“ To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of thismystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope ofglory....Colossians 1:27KJV”The Spirit of Christ has become inseparably one with your spirit so the Bible says,
“ But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit...........1 Corinthians6:17KJV”So what really is the meaning of worshipping God in spirit? It means thateverything about your life and Christian walk should stem from this Spirit ofChrist within you. This Spirit resident in you is your only tangible access to theFather. This is the meaning of what Paul purported when he said“ I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth inme: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son ofGod, who loved me, and gave himself for me......Galatians 2:20KJV”Now that you have become a Christian, your confidence should be in that Spiritresident in you and not in any other thing. Not your talents, education, title, looks,money etc. All these are worthless.“For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice inChrist Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.....Philippians 3:3KJV”God is not saying that education, talents and money are not important but thatyour trust and confidence shouldn’t be in those things but in the Christ in you, notin daddy or mommy.Child of God! understand this, it doesn’t matter what you do or say if yourChristian living doesn’t stem from the Christ resident in you, God is not pleased.This is why life has become a frustration to many Christians because they are nottaught right.

Allow Christ to settle down in you

Paul the Apostle offered a moving prayer for the Christians at Ephesus saying,“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Ofwhom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grantyou, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by hisSpirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye,being rooted and grounded in love,.......Ephesians 3:14-17KJV”This was not a prayer for unbelievers but Christians. Paul prayed for them so thatChrist will settle down in them. These were people who already had the HolySpirit in them.Somebody said, I have been a Christian for so long but really have not experiencedthe reality of the Christian life. Yes, it is because you have not allowed Christ tosettle down in you. How do you know if Christ is completely at home in aChristian?Oh! Simple, there will be a complete transformation in such a person. How canChrist be settled down in a person and not see a metamorphosis? There will be achange, both moral and supernatural. His vision for life is surely going to changeand how he responds to issues will be differentJesus said,“The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be ashis master.......Luke 6:40KJV”You see, Jesus personally is in heaven and not dwelling in any Christian. He has abody of His own and is sited on the throne of God. The Holy Spirit in you is the one who brings the presence of Christ into you. He produces the same spiritualsubstance of Jesus in you and you become just like Jesus in every respect.But before that can be evident in the life of the Christian, he has to make room forthe Holy Ghost. If we make room for the Holy Ghost, He will make room forChrist. This is what it means for Christ to be settled down in you.You can be quoting; “ Christ in me, the hope of glory” but it will all be just words.The Kingdom is not in speech, it is a vital thing.It is the empowerment by the Spirit in our inner man that brings about theoutward expression and beauty of Christ in our lives.This is why you have to work on your Christianity so that Christ would be settleddown in you.This is what Jesus meant when He said,“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me:and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and willmanifest myself to him...John 14:21KJV”The tangible manifestations of Jesus will only be possible when He is settled downin you.This is what Jesus meant when He said to the Laodicea Christians (remember thatthey were already Christians and had the Holy Spirit in them already),“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and openthe door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he withme...........Revelations 3:20KJV”There are many who have thought that this statement was to unbelievers. No! Jesussaid this to ChristiansJesus is still knocking at the door of many Christians, the door of their heart yetthey keep on pronouncing “Christ is in me”. You have to make room for Jesus; youhave to make room for the Holy Spirit in you.Making room for the Holy Spirit is not about space, it means to make room forHis operation in your life.

Be Word Minded

The second Adam Jesus, overcame where the first Adam failed. When you studyyour Bible, understand as a Christian that Jesus is not only the Saviour of man butalso came to show how man is expected to live if his life will ever please God.The fact that you are a Christian doesn’t mean that how you act and behave pleasesGod. The Bible says,“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life andpeace.... Romans 8:6KJV”Paul writes to Christians admonishing them not to be carnally minded because thatwill lead to death. Please, understand that this was not said to unbelievers but toChristians. Even though you are a Christian or a Pastor if you go on being carnallyminded, it will lead to death. He goes on to give you the reason for that. He says,“ Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to thelaw of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannotplease God...Romans 8:7-8KJV”The carnal mind can never please God. Don’t assume you will if carnally minded.The Bible says you can never. You can be crying, worshiping, quoting a lot ofScriptures but if carnally or fleshly minded, it’s a complete waste of time. You cantplease God.Why? The carnal mind is not subject to the Law of God. The Law of God is theWord of God and the carnal mind cannot humble himself to God’s Word. Godcalls such people as proud. As a Christian you have to understand how God seesthings. You can be a Pastor, always quoting Scriptures but still proud in the eyes of God. Your degree of humility is measured by the level to which you have subjectedyourself to the Word of God, against all odds and the oppositions of the flesh andthe senses.This is why God was so much pleased with Jesus. No wonder He Jesus was theWord in flesh. No matter what Jesus saw, heard or felt, He was always going to gowith “it is written”. He was always going to go with the Word. This is wisdom. Hewasn’t going to go with I heard, I saw, that was that other Pastor’s experience. Suchare not wisdom. Wisdom will ask, “What is written?”Who are you to quote other peoples experiences when God has spoken? So do theirexperiences mean that God lied? Truth is not based on experiences but God’sWord.In the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve didn’t stick to what God has said butmoved into their senses and feelings, they fell. It was God’s Word against thatbeautiful fruit they could behold. Sadly, they chose the latter. Some Christians tooare like that. When you quote them God’s Word, instead of them to consider thatWord, they will rather quote back to you their own experiences or the experiencesof another man whom they have held in high esteem. This also is not Wisdom.Why put man above God?Jesus in His temptation by satan will always respond, “It is written”.“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, butby every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God...Matthew 4:4KJV”Jesus here is saying that man was created to live by every Word that God hasspoken or speaks. You don’t pick and choose.Even in a situation that it was very difficult for the sensual and carnal Jews to agree,He Jesus will not backdown on what was written.“Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If hecalled them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannotbe broken.... John10: 34-35KJV”The Master says that what is written is written, no contrary experience breaks theScripture. The Scripture cannot be broken.

Casting Out Devils

When someChristians are dealing with satan and his devils, they consider them as zombies andthis is why their faith sometimes doesn’t work. When the creator came walking onearth, he showed us that demons are intelligent beings. There are different classesof devils and some of them have an appreciable level of reasoning. They can think.Therefore when dealing with them, especially casting them out, you have to beaware of this truth that satan and his demons can reason.Let observe what Jesus said“When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places,seeking rest, and findeth none.Then he saith, ‘I will return into my house fromwhence I came out.’ And when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, andgarnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits morewicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there; and the last state ofthat man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wickedgeneration.....Matthew 12:43-45KJV”Who said to himself, I will return back to my former house because I am notfinding rest? The demon did.he also reasoned, since he or she was able to get rid of me the first time I will makeit harder this time, let me go and get seven other demons wicked than myself. Thisis tactics. Demons are tactical.Another important truth to consider is that though all demons are wicked, thereare some more wicked than others because that devil said, I will go and get sevenother demons wicked than myself.
Now! All this was to say that demons are intelligent and cunning, if they can keepyour line of thought in the senses, they will defeat you.First understand that, it is a total waste of time to ask God to deal with the devil,you are supposed to deal and cast him out. You can cry or beg as much as youwant, God cant do anything.Remember that I didn’t say he wont, I said He cant. This is blasphemous, how canyou say He God cant?This is the problem of many Christians, their lack of understanding of the calenderof God and how authority works is what defeats them.Simply put, in this present time of God’s calendar, you are supposed to cast outdevils, not Him. He has given you His Spirit, Name and Authority.You have allyou need to deal with satan.Many times, casting out devils don’t work for some Christians and preachers alikebecause they get out of faith.When it comes to faith, the evidence is always the Word and not what you see orfeel.As long as your casting out devils is based on sight and feelings, you will bedefeated.When you say you are Christian, what it means is that you attest to the fact thatGod and His Word is truth and that it can’t fail. To deem that God’s Word failedis to call Him a liar and He God can’t accept that and He wont.There are Christians that when they cast out devils and don’t perceive any changesas yet in the senses, they will start questioning God and His Word. This shows thatsuch individuals don’t understand faith. The fact that you can quote manyScriptures doesn’t mean you understand spiritual verities.When you say you are a Christian, you cant comeback to say that God’s Wordfailed. To question God and His Word is to call Him unfaithful. This contradictsfaith.Faith deems God faithful. The Bible said concerning Sarah,
“Through faith also Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed, and wasdelivered of a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithfulwho had promised...Hebrews 11:11KJV”Faith judges God and His Word as faithful and true. Therefore when you give outthe command to that devil in faith, judge it true that it worked irrespective of whatyou feel or see. If a manifestation occurs, still judge God as true. The devil knowshe has to go but will play around hoping you give up on the Word. James said,“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee fromyou.....James 4:7KJV”That word “resist” suggests that satan is allow to oppose you but you got to standsolid on the Word.Remember, he even opposed Jesus. Those devils are very proud, not that they arepowerful than you. Therefore stand firm on the Word.

The Christian Elect

2 Peter 1:10KJVTherefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm yourcalling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,
 
Peter wrote to the Christians in the strange lands and said,“Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your callingand election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:”From the time that a sinner is born again till Jesus returns, who does he become?He is the elect. There is division among Christians and even ministers pertaining tothe fate of Christians as it regards salvation.There are some pastors who teach that once a Christian is saved no matter how heor she goes on living, his salvation is secured. They even go on to say that if youfind someone who calls himself a Christian continuously living in adultery andother forms of sins then he wasn’t and isn’t truly born again but just a church goer.We should be very careful not to preach sentiments and our opinions but the truegospel, the true gospel as preached by Paul, Peter and the earlier Apostles.Jude wrote to the Church and told them to strive for the true faith, which was oncedelivered by the earlier Apostles. Why did he say that? Because there were peoplewho have crept into the church with damnable heresies.“Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about thesalvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you tocontend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holypeople. For certain individuals whose condemnation was writtenabout long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodlypeople, who pervert the grace of our God into a license forimmorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord If satan knows that no matter what he does the Christian salvation is secured, whydoes he worry himself to cause Christians to fall? This is just common sense forthose Christians to understand that there is a beyond that you can lose yoursalvation. This does not in anyway downgrade the perfect salvation of the LordJesusThe salvation of Jesus is perfect and more than able than able to keep the Christiantill the very end but God also gave man his free will so the Christian can choose toreturn back to the former pollution.Actually Peter talks about such Christians and what awaits them,“For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through theknowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangledtherein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than thebeginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way ofrighteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holycommandment delivered unto them.......2 Peter 2:20-21KJV”Yes! The Christian can lose his salvation if he goes beyond the far beyondWhat does it mean to be a Christian elect?In the politics of this world, democratic states and nations vote to elect a newpresident. After the election, they count the votes to declare the winner. Thewinner is then referred to as the President elect. The time he is referred to as suchthere may be a sitting president who is waiting for his tenure to elapse so he canhand over power. The new guy is a president elect, he is not the president at thattime. As a president elect, he still enjoys a lot of favours, respect and recognition.Not only that, the state according to the constitution has a responsibility towardshim. For if you do these things, you will neverstumble,”It doesn’t mean that any sin you commit will cost you your salvation, the presidentelect is not going to lose the presidency just because he had a quarrel with someonebut there is a great beyond that he shouldn’t cross. It is the same for you, theChristian elect.You can’t go on after your election, to dwell in fornication, adultery and otherforms of sins, not repenting and expect to be in the Kingdom when Jesus returns.This is why you are admonished to strive to make that election a surety.Don’t be deceived by ignorant preachers who teach that no matter what theChristian does, he wont loose his salvation. This is not true; it is not the trueGospel of the Lord Jesus.
