The personal Jesus

When the Master said, I will beckon on my father to give you another comforterHe meant giving us a personal Jesus. The Lord Holy Spirit is your personal Jesus.You have a personal Jesus 24hrs a day and 365 days a year. The word comforter inthat verse connotes a one called or summoned to one’s aid, He is called to goalongside you, to bring help when you are in trouble. Even when you mess up andloose your way, He is there to plead your case and your cause.He said “another” comforter. The word “another” is very important in the Lord’scontruction of that statement. You see Jesus Himself was a comforter, a helper, anintercessor and an advocate. These sentiments are communicated about Jesus in thevolume of the bible. For instance John says,“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, JesusChrist the righteous......1 John 2:1KJV”So Jesus is an advocate. He was the intercessor and mediator between God andman. He was the sinner’s access to God and brought God to the sinner.So Paul says, “For there is one God, and one mediator between Godand men, the man Christ Jesus;.......1 Timothy 2:5KJV”He was so a mediator that He even went to the cross for the sinner.Jesus was a helper. When you see that son of Galilee through the pictures of thegospel, He was more than a helper. He brought healing to the sick, hope to thehopeless, food to the hungry, he saved those who were drowning in the midst ofthe sea and brought salvation to the damned. He was and still is the number onehelper.
Though all these were wonderful, there was a limitation. You see, Jesus had a bodyof His own and hence could be at one place at a time. He brought help to whereHe was. Even though He could command help at distant places, you needed tocome personally to Him to ask. He didn’t go to the gentile lands so they didn’texperience his love and help, the gentiles who got his help needed to come to himin Israel.The Holy Spirit has become all that Jesus was but even more, for in the HolyGhost you now have your personal Jesus. Anyone no matter where you live on theglobe can have a personal Jesus. Think about it, a “Jesus” for only you. Glory be toGod! You have a Jesus for only you. This is the meaning of “ I will plead the fatherto send you another comforter”.Jesus talking about the Holy Ghost said,“ I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.......John 14:18KJV”Isnt that lovely? Jesus knew He was talking about the Holy Ghost yet He didn’t say“He will come to you” but “I will come to you”. The Lord Himself knows that theHoly Spirit comes to be your personal Jesus. Be saying it every day, “ I have apersonal Jesus”. Yes! He is your personal Jesus in the morning, afternoon and atevening time.This is why paul refers the Holy spirit as the the Spirit of Christ. This is themeaning of Christ in you, the hope of glory. Halleluiah!The Holy Spirit is the carrier of the presence of Jesus.“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwellin you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none ofhis......Romans 8:9KJV”You have a personal Jesus! Blessed be God forever more

A Doctrine of Error

There are many Christians who have been brain washed to the extent of believing the words of men over Jesus Himself. They believe in a doctrine termed as “One saved always saved”. This doctrine propagates a falsehood that, no matter what andhow a Christian lives his salvation is secured. It’s eternal security no matter what. It sounds nice to the ears and appeals to the lust of their flesh. The problem is that these people lack an understanding of Christianity. Such a doctrine is from the pitof hell and unscriptural. Men and women who propagates such a Gospel twist scriptures to fit their message. Many of them are cunning. The Bible says, “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried aboutwith every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.....Ephesians 4:14KJV”

His Word Never Contradicts

There are some people who cast unwholesome remarks on God’s Word. They mock and scoff at the Word, making statements like “the Word contradict Himself”. This is indeed foolishness and a lack of respect for God and His Word.God’s words are perfect and pure, forever consistent. Like the Psalmist says, He has preserved it from generation to generation. The fact that someone doesn’t teach the Word rightly and makes Him say what He didn’t say, doesn’t mean the Word isuntrue and contradictory. I have studied God’s Word over the years and found no contradiction. His Word is as perfect as Him.We have to understand, that man tries to find the truth whilst God knows all the truth. Hence only man and not God can be wrong. The Word of God can never be wrong but man’s interpretation can be. A minister not understandingeverything in God’s Word doesn’t necessary mean He or she is not from God but if you meet any Minister who attests to God’s Word being contradictory then you follow such an one at your own peril. You shouldn’t follow any person like that.Not only that but any person who claims there are different truths in God’s Word shouldn’t be followed. God’s Word is pureThis is why it is important to follow a man or woman truly called of God, not one called of men. There is a difference. God’s Word is perfect, consistent and of absolute integrity. God is not confused. For instance, now that the church is divided over pretribulation, mid tribulation and post tribulation rapture, it doesn’t mean that the truth is not in the Word ofGod. The truth on that matter is in God’s Word. Which of them is the truth? Its that which is consistent with the total body of revelation of God’s Word. God is not confused about the rapture, men are. If there are two doctrines, which contradict each other, both can never be right. God’s Word is consistent, pure and as silver tried in an earthly furnace. Translators can make mistake but that doesn’t mean the manuscript was inconsistent. Hebrew and Greek translators try to give you what they believe Godwas saying, it doesn’t mean necessarily that they were always right. All translations are wonderful but the best I will suggest to you is the King James version. It’s because of these limitations that God in His wisdom calls Ministers and anointthem to guide His Children in the Word. In your quest to know the truth, always go with the understanding that God’sWord is consistent, accurate and never contradictory. The contradictory denominational teachings came because of the human element. Paul taught the same truth in all the different churches
“For this cause I have sent unto you Timothy, who is my beloved son and faithful in the Lord, who shall put you in remembrance of my ways which are in Christ, as I teach them everywhere in every church....1 Corinthian 4:17KJV”

It's no more your life

Colossians 3:4 KJVWhen Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
Paul said, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.....Philippians 1:21KJV”. This man understood the mystery of Christianity. He says, as long as I live it’s going to be about Christ.Christianity is the call to live the life of another. It’s called the heavenly calling. You have been called to live the life of Jesus Christ, His life and not your life. Anything about you that is not consistent with His life is unacceptable and willgain you no reward at the last day. It’s either Christ or nothing. He is the only standard acceptable to God, nothing less.You have no right to love the way you want to. It will gain you nothing at the end. The standard is Christ. He is the reference point, He is the cornerstone. He is the reference point for the temple, which is being built, that great edifice and everystone is supposed to be laid in reference to Him. Any stone fashioned not after Christ is unacceptable in the temple. In Christianity, you don’t choose how you want things to be done. The moment you do things the way you want it to be done, it means you didn’t die with Christ on the cross but Christianity suggest you did. You have to understand that there are two aspects of your identification with Christ, the positional and vital. By position, you died with Christ but it’s that true experientially? Are you living as someone who died with Christ, to allow Christ live in and through you? To be a Christian means to live in the Name of Jesus. Be careful what you do in His name. Does how you love conform to His character?
When you get this understanding, you won’t love the way you want to but how Heloves.This is what Paul means when He says, “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which isthe head, even Christ:.....Ephesians 4:15KJV” God wants you to be like Jesus in all things, not some things but in all things. Hewants you to reach a stage where people can’t differentiate between you and Christ. This is the purpose of spiritual growth, growing to be like Him in all things. Jesus wouldn’t choose Mary and His Brethren over the Word of God “While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, Behold, thymother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, andmother....Matthew 12:46-50KJV”Do you support your wife, husband, mother, father, and friends when they are to be blamed? Do you do that because of your relationship with them? Then Christ is not the one living through you. You are still living Beloved, understand the true meaning of Christianity. It’s not about going to Church every Sunday. Is Christ the one living in and through you?God bless you!
