Don’t misinterpret the Scripture

The Apostle Peter talked about some Christians who misinterpret scriptures totheir own loss, to their own peril.Over the years, there have been Christians who when you talk about how seriouswe should be about the Kingdom work, their response will be the Scripture above“A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight”Their understanding and interpretation of the said Scripture is that God expectsthe Christian to be balanced in life, that to them means that he should well balancethe natural life to his spiritual life. They mean that the natural life and career lineare as important as the Kingdom work.This is a sensual and wrong interpretation of the Scripture above. The introductoryScripture has nothing at all to do with the interpretation they have given to it.As a Christian, you may interpret God’s Word in your own way just because suchan interpretation appeals to your flesh and this is where you need to be carefulWhat does God mean when He says,“A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight”?He is talking about honesty in your dealings with other men. He means be truthfuland don’t cheat. Don’t say it cost 200 dollars when really it should cost 100dollars. This is the meaning of the Scripture; it has nothing to do with balancingyour natural life with the spiritual. It has nothing to do with your career being asimportant as the Kingdom work.
Let just consider the same Scripture in other translations“The Lord hates cheating and delights in honesty....Proverbs 11:1 TLB”“A false balance and dishonest business practices are extremely offensive tothe Lord, But an accurate scale is His delight......Proverbs 11:1 AMP”“GOD hates cheating in the marketplace; he loves it when business isaboveboard.....Proverbs 11:1 MSG”God says, don’t cheat in your line of work or business. This is what the Scripturemeans. When you wrongly interpret the said Scripture to God’s children to meanthat their career is as important as the Kingdom work, that’s leading them astray.It’s serious since this will lead to that individual not fulfilling his God given destinyon earth. Be careful what you say in the name of God.God has not said that your career is not important. He has not said that peopleshould stay home and not work but He has not said that your career is asimportant as the Kingdom Work He has given the Christian.A wrong interpretation of the above Scripture has led to Christians doing theKingdom Work when it suits them. Beloved, many will not tell you this truthYou are not on this earth because of your career; you are here because of theKingdom Work. The career rather is what is the addition therefore you shouldplan the career around the Kingdom Work and not Vice Versa.This is what leads to one Christian sharing gospel tracts on his way or in a bus towork and another doing that only on holidays or Sundays. Some even do notThe former has come to understand that like Jesus he is primarily on earth to dothe Father’s work and that is what is first in importance to him.What is of first importance to you?Jesus said, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God”. Plan earthly things aroundeternal things and not vice versa. This world including all the careers will very soonpass away.The Master said“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler overhis household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That heshall make him ruler over all his goods......Matthew 24:45-47 KJV”

The Creator vs the creature

A Christian should understand that whenever you choose what man says at theexpense of the Word of God, you have chosen the creature over the Creator.The wisdom and knowledge of man is based on empirical data, informationgleaned from the five senses, the reason why man is limited in his knowledge andwisdom.When they boast, they are boasting in a knowledge acquired by the senses, aknowledge not absolute and some times replete with errors.This is why God calls the wisdom of this world foolishness, till the creator teachesyou, that knowledge and wisdom you hold is incomplete.You have to understand that with the exception of Adam and Eve, every man cameto meet a world put in disorder by sin. Sin and death have permeated the world.You live in a world, which is disordered, both spiritually and physically. What hasbeen termed as normal is not the normal but actually disorderliness. This is whytheir wisdom and knowledge is foolishness; it’s a wisdom and knowledge acquiredfrom disorderliness.This is why God tells His Children not to conform to the pattern of this world,their wisdom and way of thinking.And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing ofyour mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect willof God.....Romans 12:3KJV
As long as the wisdom and knowledge you live by are that gained from the world,you will be out of God’s will and many Christians are.There are Christians who think sickness should be a normal part of life, its becausethey came to meet a disordered world where everyone is getting sick so they seediseases as normal. Man never got sick till Adam sinned. So sickness is not normalneither is sin. So they talk sickness and death over their lives. What acontradiction? Till God teaches man, he is not wiseWhen Jesus came, He went on doing the will of God. There is nothing that He didwhich was not the will of God. This is why He was sinless. Anything you do whichcontradicts the will of God is sin.So what did He do? He went about healing all that were sick, the bible doesn’t saysome but all that were sick. If you were sick and will come to Jesus, He will healyou“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power:who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil;for God was with him....Acts 10:38KJV”Sickness is a disorder brought into God’s creation by the sin of Adam so Jesus wentabout destroying the disorderliness. Do you see sickness as a disorder or you see itas normal part of life?Will you accept what God is saying irrespective of the biology, virology, medicine,pharmacy and immunology you have done in school?He calls sickness as an oppression of the devil? Do you agree or think is a normalpart of nature? Will you believe the Creator over the creature or vice versa?Is God saying that medicine is bad? Not at all. Its good but He wants you tounderstand that they don’t know all about sicknessSickness has a spiritual element. This cannot be found in the lab or taught in themedical school.The creator who knows all and created His world says so, it will be wiser for anyChristian to agree and see sickness for what it really is.

Your Divine Destiny

One day God said to me, “Make sure you fulfill your purpose”. He didn’t say, “ Iwill make sure you fulfill your purpose”. This is because you can be a Christian andnot fulfill the purpose for which you were put on this earth.The saddest thing in life is not death but a man or woman who dies withoutfulfilling the purpose for his or her life. Your life is an investment by God. Oneday, He will come for the returns. There is a purpose for which you were created;you didn’t just happen on the seen. There is a reason why you are living in thisworld, at this time, at that place and in this seasonThe fact that you are a Christian doesn’t mean you will fulfill your purpose for life,for there are many Christians including ministers who die without fulfilling theirdestiny.I remember the story of a great man of God who left for Heaven about two decadesago. It was after he had been in ministry for 15years that God said to him, youhave now found your purpose for life. The Bible says,“Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it. Exceptthe LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.......Psalm127:1KJV”Please, I want you to observe the Scripture closely. He didn’t say something wasnot built. They labored, spent resources, time and energy to build something but itwas all in vain because God wasn’t behind it. It was a complete waste of time.
This is the mistake of many Christians. When they see a so-called Church, withpeople trooping in and out, they think God is behind it or God is in that Church.Not necessary. Is the vision of that church His vision? Is the Church built on thefoundation of the Word of God? Are things done according to His ways,instructions and order? Don’t be deceived by carnal elements.In the same vein, your own life is a building. The Bible says,“For we are laborers together with God; ye are God’s husbandry; ye are God’sbuilding....1 Corinthians 3:9KJV”Don’t build your life in vain.There are Christians that when you ask them their purpose for life, why Godplaced them on His green earth, their answer is I was born to be a doctor,pharmacist, scientist, farmer, trader, entrepreneur, politician etc.? This is very sad,an answer borne out of ignorance. No! Child of God. You were not born to be adoctor, lawyer, farmer, trader etc.There is a natural destiny and there is a divine destiny. The natural destiny is thedestiny sold to you by the society you live in. Even your parents or peers may sell itto you. This is the natural destiny.This is why its not only Christians who are doctors, politicians, traders, lawyers etc.Muslims, atheist, homosexuals, satanist, buddhist are also lawyers, doctors,teachers, politicians, etc.This is not the God-given destiny but the natural destiny. Does God influencenatural destinies? Emphatically yes! But when He influences natural destinies, Hismain goal is how he wants that to impart your divine destiny.The day you meet your Maker, He is not going to ask you about the naturaldestiny. You are going to give an account for the divine destiny.Find out your divine destiny and fulfill it. Someone’s divine destiny can be assimple as being a Bible distributor. Someone may say, my whole life to be just aBible distributor?“But nay, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thingformed say to him that formed it, “Why hast thou made me thus?.....Romans9:20KJV

Apoligia

The Christian is an apologetic; he is a defender of the Gospel. When you say “Iam a Christian”, this is what it means. It means you are supposed to be a stickler,defender and a testimony bearer of the Gospel. This applies to all what pertains tothe Gospel of Our Lord Jesus.It is sad to find some Christians rather basing on human experiences to oppose theWord of God. Sometimes, you quote the Word to a Christian but he or sheresponds with “what about the experience of this brother or even pastor”. In otherwords, if what you are quoting is true, why then will this Christian be goingthrough what he is going through. Such folks forget that the Word quoted to themaren’t the minister’s own words but the very Word of God.Elihu said to Job, thou have done foolishly for it is better to justify God thanyourself. Yes! It is better to justify God than man“Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of thekindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justifiedhimself rather than God.... Job 32:2KJV”There are Christians who haven’t learned how to walk with God. They justify theirexperiences and the experiences of others above God’s Words. Such is not wisdom.Are you more righteous than God?Such folks are not fit to be apologetics. The apologetic is a stickler for God’s Word.Being an apologetic is not just about defending that Jesus died on the cross, itincludes defending everything that pertains to the Gospel. Such is a trueapologetic. He gives a verbal and attitudinal defense supported by Scriptures, forthe Gospel and all that pertains to it. He will even die for his faith in God’s Word.
Such characters were the three Jewish friends of Daniel, who said to the King,“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, ONebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so,our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace,and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known untothee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden imagewhich thou hast set up.......Daniel 3:16-18KJV”The apologetic fears no death and will defend God and His Word no matter thesituation. This is why most true apologetics end up as martyrs.God is looking for men and women who can cast their lives on His Word. LikePaul, God is looking for people who will stick to “In my Name, they shall take upserpents”, when bitten by snake. He is looking for men who will stick to Jesus asbeing the Christ when on gunpoint.People who fear death cant uphold such things. We are soon getting to a periodwhen some Christians are going to deny Jesus because they fear death. This isbecause they have not been properly taught and trained. Jesus said to his disciples,“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross,and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever willlose his life for my sake shall find it....Matthew 16:24-25KJV”Every Christian is supposed to take up his cross, not only Paul and Peter.

Evil is Real

Evil is real, wickedness is real, don’t live a life of negligence. There are Christians
who think witchcraft is a thing of the past, only in the medieval times. No! Not at
all. The same way God uses a man or woman to lead people to Him; satan also uses
men and women to carryout the evil agenda, an agenda of destruction. Every spirit
whether the Holy Spirit or spirits of devils need a body to work through.
satan is a hindrance but not a serious hindrance and can be overcome by using the
spiritual tools made available by God but when you are exposed they will destroy
you.
There are Christians who are much focused on the things of this world whilst not
putting emphasis on the most important aspect of life, the spiritual.
People accumulate all the wealth, build all the mansions when its time to enjoy,
they loose their lives. Its called wickedness. These things are real. Don’t neglect the
spiritual whilst going after the natural. You will have yourself to blame
Life is spiritual and wickedness is real. You are not protected just because you are
Christian. satan is not afraid of you just because you are a Christian; he is afraid of
the Christian conscious of his identity in Jesus and working out the spiritual tools
at his disposal.
The same way modernization has influenced Christianity, it has also affected
witchcraft. What do I mean by this? Gone are the days when you had only a
hardcover Bible to rely on, it comes now with Bible apps on phones, tablets,
computers etc. Technology has affected every aspect of Christianity but what the
Christians forgot is that it has also modernized witchcraft. Don’t think that witches
are old women with long black hair meeting at covens in the night.
 
The truth is that there are millions of young men and women around the world inwitchcraft. satan hides behind camouflages but the symbols and modus operandiremains the same, it’s a worship of nature. It’s about astrology for he satan is theprince of the power of the air“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world,according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh inthe children of disobedience:...Ephesians 2:2KJV”It may interest you to know that evil has become so attractive that young men andwomen attend colleges to study witchcraft, they go to school to learn how to castspells.This is not to get you devil conscious but to be cautious. As a Christian, youshould always have your armor on.When evil happens to a family in your neighborhood, church, city, etc. don’tassume they have done something bad or only them are excluded for satanicattacks, it means be on your guard because when satan finishes with them, he willturn to you.Don’t be too busy with world to forget about God. You can be going to churchevery Sunday whilst forgetting God. This many times is what gives an entrance forthe devil.Don’t be negligent

Fables Appeal To The Flesh

The Holy Spirit saw the future and declared what was going to happen in the bodyof Christ, the church.Paul says,“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall departfrom the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines ofdevils;Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hotiron;.........1 Timothy 4:1-2KJV”These are not words of a preacher but the Holy Spirit Himself. These wereprophetic words of the Holy Ghost regarding the present church. What He saidpertained to the latter times, our times.Some Christians will depart from the truth and bring in their own Gospel message.They will speak lies in pretence.Funny to say that, these sacred words from the Holy Spirit Himself pulls downthat Gospel of a Christian cannot lose his salvation. Well, the Holy Spirit says theycan and will.He says, some will depart from the faith and give heed to wrong doctrines,doctrines of devils. You have to have previously been in the faith to depart from it.Unbelievers cannot depart from the faith because they were not in it.
What are these false doctrines? These are messages, which don’t agree with theHoly Scriptures. They are fables. Why do some Christians like fables?Fables appeal to the lust of the flesh. They want a message of convenience, amessage that will put their minds at peace (ungodly) whilst engaging in thepleasures of the flesh.Why wont that Christian who is in fornication like a message that tells her itdoesn’t matter because Jesus has paid it all?Why wont that Christian who loves money like a message that present mammon asgodliness?Why wont the adulteress in the church loves the Pastor who says, “Who are you tojudge?” He may even quote how Jesus didn’t condemn the adulteress to argue hiscase.They hypocritically forget the final words of the Master to the woman,“She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do Icondemn thee: go, and sin no more....... John 8:11KJV”She was given another chance to holiness. This is what grace does; it gives youanother chance to holiness. Grace doesn’t keep you in sins.Paul says,“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should livesoberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;.........Titus 2:11-12KJV”Grace will teach you to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts. If a grace messagedoesn’t teach you these things but keep you sinning that message is not from Godbut devils.The Holy Spirit prophesied of a time that doctrines of devils were going to bepreached in certain churches.Paul says, they will turn their ears from the truth unto fables because such messagesgratify their flesh.

How to escape the great tribulation

The Christian should be wise and conscious of the very words of the Master as itpertains the great tribulation. Jesus said that it would come as a trap upon all thatdwell on the face of the whole earth. He that knows it all says that every humanbeing on the surface of the earth will be impacted by what is soon to come.There are some Christians who are hoping for a pre-tribulation rapture as a meansof escape. Such folks believe they will be raptured before the tribulation. This isnot true and these Christians may find themselves wanting because they wouldn’thave prepared adequately for what is coming.Such Christians are programming themselves to be captured in the greattribulation.Prophetic revelations have expounded on the three fates that awaits the Christianin the great tribulation. There are those who will be captured and tortured, otherswill fall by the sword and some too will escape. The latter are those who will still beliving when the trumpet sounds to initiate the rapture“He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with thesword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of thesaints..... Revelations 13:10KJV”“For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive andremain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which areasleep....1 Thessalonians 4:15KJV”
So there are Christians who will not die but remain unto the coming of the Lord.How do you become one of such Christians?You don’t become one of these Christians just by wishing or desiring so. You haveto do what Jesus himself instructed. He said,“Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy toescape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son ofman”Who are those to be accounted worthy to escape the great tribulation? The Mastersays that it will be those who will be watching, attentive to what is happening inthe world and the events as they unfold. Here He emphasizes on knowledge, thosewith the knowledge and understanding of the end time events.God says, “My people perish for lack of knowledge”. So knowledge is keen in thissituation. You cant be a Christian and say “I don’t care to understand in truth theend time events and messages”.Find a Minister or Christian who has an insight into the end time message. The Master says, Pray always.He didn’t say, wish to be raptured before the tribulation but watch and pray alwaysIn these last days, a Christian should start praying earnestly regarding the soon tocome great tribulation. You have 5, 6, 7 or at most 10 years to pray.Instead of spending more time to pray about carnal things soon to pass away, prayrather more on the great tribulation and a provision for escape.
